Background

¡VIVA la Música! was formed in the Spring of 2000 as a direct result of hearing several young Mexican opera students perform at Lakeside.

Drawing upon the wealth of musical talent available in Mexico, ¡VIVA! brings fine musicians to perform at Lakeside and sponsors bus trips to musical events.

In addition, ¡VIVA! assists talented young Mexican music students to
further their musical education.
