Now is the time to renew your
membership in Viva la Musica! There will be someone on duty at the
LCS ticket sales area all this month. You can renew there.

Viva bus trips
to “Live from the Met”
Viva will be running a bus to each
of the operas being simulcast at Teatro Diana in 2012:
January 21 The Enchanted Island,
Handel, Rameau, Vivaldi and others
February 11 The Twilight of the
Gods, Wagner
February 25 Ernani, Verdi
April 21 Manon, Massanet
April 28 La Traviata, Verdi
Tickets cost $300 pesos for members,
$400 for non-members. Payment must be made 2 weeks before each
opera because Viva must purchase tickets ahead of time. To reserve

Pro Auditorio Fund Raiser – Paco Renteria
returns Jan 20 and 21!
Mark your calendar now and hasten to the LCS or any of the other
ticket outlets like the auditorium, Diane Pearl, Charter Club
Tours to buy your tickets. Paco is dynamite – a wonderfully gifted
musician and is giving us two concerts as his donation to our
efforts to raise a million pesos for improvements to the
auditorium. The concerts start at 7.30 p.m. A cash bar will
operate before the show. Tickets cost $250 and $150 pesos. This is
a great chance to enjoy a fabulous concert while giving to the
auditorium fund!
Special Events ¡VIVA! often "uncovers" special events and artists and can quickly inform our members of musical opportunities.

There is a group going from Ajijic that is limited to 16

Don't forget that one of the primary purposes of ¡VIVA! is to help support musical talent development in Mexican artists. Last year ¡VIVA! contributed over $57,000 pesos in scholarship assistance to deserving young Mexican musicians. You can be proud to be included in this effort.
