Viva la Música Bus Trip
Querétaro - Guanajuato - Cervantino Festival
Six Days, October 18-24, 2008
There are still some seats available for this 6-day tour to the Festival Cervantino in Guanajuato, also visiting Queretero and Leon, leaving Saturday, October 18th and returning Friday, October 24th. There is something for everyone with the three performances we’ll be seeing – a big orchestra/choral performance with the Kullervo Male Choir of Finand – anyone who knows about choral music knows how terrific the Scandinavian vocal ensembles can be… then there’s a concert of traditional danzon music of Cuba and the Yucatan – think Buena Vista Social Club if you aren’t familiar with these musical forms! Then, last but not least, for the dance fanatics among us, a performance by the world-renowned Pilobolus, one of the most interesting and provocative of all the contemporary dance companies to have toured worldwide since the 1970’s…The price is $7,400 pesos per person, double occupancy. Call President Rosemary Keeling at 766-1801 to reserve.
