¡VIVA! sponsors bus trips to concerts of the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO) in the beautifully restored Degollado Theater in Guadalajara. Under the artistic direction of Maestro Héctor Guzmán, the JPO offers three concert seasons of five to seven weeks in the periods: January-March, June-July, and October-December.

Bus trips are generally scheduled for Friday evenings. The charter bus departs at 4:30 p.m. from Farmacia Guadalajara in Ajijic and stops for a no-host dinner at one of the finer restaurants in Guadalajara. After the concert, the bus arrives back in Ajijic around 11:30 p.m.

These bus trips are announced in the monthly member's newsletter, and are usually fully booked within a short time after they are announced. Seat reservations are made by email or by phone reservation. Payment is made at specified times at the Tickets, Etc. booth at the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) or by special arrangement with Marshall Krantz. From time to time charter bus trips are offered to musical events in other cities such as Colima, Aguascalientes and Guanajuato.
